Nuss Cryoablation

Adam came to KIDS Orthopedic & Chest Care getting winded during sports and relying on an inhaler. He underwent a minimally invasive Nuss procedure with cryoablation performed by Dr. Abdullah. He was up walking laps the same night, and by the time he went home two days later he described breathing more freely, with noticeably more space in his lungs.

Six days out he was already asking when he could get back to pull-ups and push-ups, and was off everything but Motrin. At three months he had no pain and no medication, and had gone from managing about a minute on the treadmill to running thirty minutes straight. At six months his mother reported he had not touched his inhaler once since the surgery and no longer got winded playing sports.
